The Homunculus Group conceptually began at the early turn of this decade. At the time many of the inital group found themselves consulting for similar companies and this naturally sparked similar interests which culminated in the development of PCG, the first group collaberation. A little over a year into this new venure we realized that the consulting team we had assembled was too restricted and limited in scope for what we knew, and what we had to offer our clients (physicians, therapists, athletes, trainers, manufacturing companies, students etc) was not global enough for address human performace and dysfunction. It essence, we learned it was not the direction we wanted our offerings to take us. This naturally ended in the abrupt dissolution of the consulting group and the birth of The Homunculus Group, a smaller group of individuals but with overlapping strengths in the fields of neurology, orthopedics, physical therapy, rehabilitation, manual medicine and motor and sensory impairment pathology. We feel this tigher group of individuals, with our extended family of specialists, is better suited for our needs and desires. We hope you find some information here, in our e-newsletters, and through our extended affiliates that will challenge your current thinking and encourage you to never end your quest for a greater understanding of the human frame and how it functions.
The Homunculus Group is a collection of heavily educated intelligent individuals who are committed and driven to better understand the problems of pain and movement impairment in this world (basically the aches and pains that ail individuals). Hence their interest in the sensory and motor portions of the brain (and thus the name of the company, the homunculus) and hence their development of this braintrust of individuals, and those others invited into the brethren of his website. We hope this venture will begin a long fruitful journey in thesharing of knowledge, collective problem solving and of learning together and amongst others in complementary fields.
